The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam, more commonly known as the GATE is a very important exam that almost every engineering student aspires to give one day. This exam is conducted by IIT’s and IIS’s on behalf of MHRD. It is conducted to test an engineering graduate’s comprehensive understanding of all concepts. If you are aiming to give GATE exams of 2020, which will be held in the month of February, and wish to know when you should start preparing and why then here is your answer: Start Preparing As Early As Possible! GATE 2020 examinations pattern.

• Exam medium is a computer-based test (online).

• Candidates may only attempt one (1) paper for the GATE 2020 exams.
• Exam sessions will be divided into two (2), forenoon (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) & afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
• The GATE examination will take 3 hours.
• 65 questions on a subject will be tested.
• The total marks for a paper is 100 marks.
• The section on General Aptitude (GA) must be completed.

GATE exam 2020 will be conducted by IIT Delhi. The exam will be held on February 1, 2, 8, & 9 for admission to ME, MTech, MSc and PhD courses offered at premium engineering institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. • Last year, IITs added Statistics (ST) to GATE paper. However, this year, subject papers have been increased to 25 from 24 and the new addition is Biomedical Engineering (BM).
• There are 6 international test centres for GATE 2020, in Dubai, Addis Ababa, Colombo, Dhaka, Kathmandu, and Singapore.
