📝Application Process

For how many GATE papers can I apply? +

A candidate can apply for ONE or TWO papers from the given set of combinations. The choice is the responsibility of the candidate, keeping in mind the eligibility criteria of the institutions they wish to join.

Can I change my GATE Examination Paper after submission?+

YES. A request for a change of paper will be entertained against an additional payment, but ONLY after the application submission deadline. The dates for this will be announced later.

🏛️Exam Day Rules

What is provided for rough work? +

Only one scribble pad will be provided at a time. To get a second one, you must return the first. A virtual scientific calculator will be available on your screen.

Can I enter the exam hall late?+

NO. Delayed entry is permitted for up to 30 minutes after the start time, but you will NOT get any extra time. No relaxation is provided under any circumstances.

📊Paper Specifics

Separate rank for Architecture (AR) and Planning?+

NO separate scores and ranks will be provided for candidates attempting either Part B1 (Architecture) or Part B2 (Planning).

Separate rank for Geology (GG) and Geophysics?+

YES. Separate scores and ranks will be provided based on the Part B section chosen (Geology or Geophysics).
